Bodi’s adventures

Hello All,

Bodi met with his oncologist on Monday.  They were so thrilled at how great he looked.  They can not believe that he is the same little baby they treated 6 short months ago.  Bodi’s MRI looked great.  His thoracic tumor has shrunk a little!!!  That is terrific news!  They took him off of his last medication! Yayayyayayayay!  His tumor is larger than what I had thought, roughly the size of a ping pong to golf ball.  So I can’t imagine how big it was or how there was room in his little body for such a large mass.  Ugh, I do not like to think of that.

So, our plan from here on…. We go in next week for his swallow test.  Then, drum roll please, we do not have to come back until the beginning of January!!!!!!   Bodi will get to enjoy the holidays without seeing any doctors or hospitals! That is a wonderful Christmas gift!!!  So please continue to pray that his tumor shrinks and that by January the cancer will NOT light up the MIBG scan.  Also, please pray that his swallow study does not show any abnormalities or problems.

Bodi’s been a busy little guy.  The Centre College Football game was a blast!  Bodi was honored, along with 6 other little kids, at the beginning of the game.  His friend Sam carried him out onto the field as they called his name.  Tears were streaming down Bryan and my faces.  I still can’t believe all that he has been through.

We were also able to make it to a Bike night out at the Colerain Quaker Steak & Lube.  It was so much fun.  Bodi’s grandmother’s were able to dote on him and show him off to all of the staff.  Some of my family came and we were able to enjoy a little time before little man declared it was time for bed!!!!   Thanks again to everyone who has been supporting Bodi’s Bites!!!  And a huge thank you to my cousins Rhonda, Wayne, Steve, Misti, Dustin, Brayden, Tanner, and friends, Bobby, Chris and Greg for coming to support Bodi! It means the world to me!

If that weren’t enough excitement, Bryan, Bodi and I traveled down to Atlanta to visit my best friend.

He did great in the car and was so excited to see everyone.  His little girlfriend came over to visit.  Bodi was NOT having it!  He did not appreciate the kiss that Addy gave him.  It took me about 30 minutes to calm him down.  He may not like them now, but I’m sure he’ll change his mind!

Bodi was also able to meet someone very special on this trip.  He has had a partner in crime during his fight with cancer.  Although they hadn’t met, they shared a unique bond.  I truly believe that Debbie made Bodi stronger during his fight and that Bodi made Debbie stronger.  It was amazing to watch them fight cancer together even though they were miles apart!

Bodi is still attending his music class which he LOVES.  It is a blast to watch him learn and play with his new friends.  He has also been on a play date with a neighbor.  That didn’t go as smoothly as I had hoped.  He was not happy at all.  He basically screamed for an hour while his new friend tried to play with him.  I think he will be much more social when he learns to crawl and walk.

Which leads me to……….Bodi is scooting!!!!   It is absolutely the funniest thing in the world, to me at least!  His little legs try so hard to push his body while his chin scoots against the ground.  It gets him to where he wants to go, so that is exciting!!!!

I could go on and on about all of the cute and funny things Bodi is doing, but this post would never end!   Please keep Bodi in your prayers and pray for all of the “golden children” who are battling Cancer.

We continue to ask that everyone keeps the prayer vigil going, for his battle icontinues, and you are making him strong. Thank you so so much,
